Mom Update: Doctors removed the staples and her headache pain is more under control. She is still working on connecting the dots concerning speech and cognitive, but all signs point to good things. None of us ever knows how we will react when a loved one is injured, especially a parent. Although I have no doubt my amazing Mother will recover, the realization of her mortality, as well as my own, has changed me. I have felt her absence greatly...Mom and I would talk every day...not having that has been difficult and revealing to me. Dad sleeps in a cot, by her side every evening. Their love is incredible, and something I have always admired. My biggest reminder and lesson from this has been to; Hug those you love often, forgive those who have wronged you and embrace the light of this life...for you never know what is next. Thank you for all of your prayers and warm wishes. I am thankful for each and every one of you in my life.
