Morehead Police are investigating after a woman called them to report that someone came to her door and asked to see bottles of medication. Police say the woman told them a person wearing a white lab coat knocked on her door Wednesday. The visitor did not have a nametag or identification. Police say she told the woman she was with St. Clair Home Health and needed to check her medications. Police tell WKYT the woman does get a visit from a home health worker, but didnt recognize the person at her door and wouldnt give her the medications. The next day, the womans home health care provider visited. She asked them about the visitor from the day before. They told her they hadnt sent anyone and thats when she called police. Police want to get the word out about this situation to see if it has happened to anyone else. If anybody has had a similar encounter, give us a call so we can try to figure out more about her, says Captain Derrick Blevins with Morehead Police. Police say if someone comes to your home and you arent expecting them, you should always ask for identification. The woman is described as white, in her forties with dark hair and slightly overweight. She identified herself as Julie, but police say thats most likely a fake name.
