Most people working inside corporate America today - TopicsExpress

Most people working inside corporate America today (service/education/healthcare make up most jobs today) are wage slaves (e.g., Walmart service workers, 60% of whom eligible for foodstamps). Almost all new jobs created since 1981 are low-paying service sector jobs and that includes under Clinton and Obama. Those working inside the corporate for profit world overall and inside non-profit administrations or management of education, healthcare outside of union jobs that do make a living wage with appropriate benefits (full medical/full dental/retirement) have almost always sold their souls or are in the process of selling their souls to stay in these positions and most are fully aware of that fact and even joke about their lack of moral compass. Of this latter category, you know who you are. If there is a list of things, usually a growing list, you cant or dont dare say or take action about at work on topics related to progressive politics, you are selling your soul in your job and the very best of who you are is being stolen from you by billionaires. Those doing so know exactly what I mean. None of this is inevitable. We can very easily and within ONE YEAR have universal healthcare, universal education, guaranteed retirements and all of this, where benefits of healthcare and education would be cradle to grave at an extremely small fraction of what our privatized public goods cost now. Remember that the U.S. is the only wealthier nation with fully private healthcare and it costs more than any other system on the planet and it is NOT because it is higher quality at all.
