Most recent update from caring bridge: "Written 2 hours ago Mark is now exhibiting signs that, according to Hospice, displays he is hours to days away from death. The family is grateful for your outpours of support. We know many of you want to help, and you will have those opportunities in the months after Mark’s passing. Until then, we request that you please be respectful to their privacy through this difficult transition. Mark was very explicit in who he wanted to be present during the time leading up to his death. Those individuals who Mark identified have been made aware. If you have not been asked to see the family, then please do not make any attempts to come to their house as you will be asked to leave. The medical team and hospice program have been tremendously supportive. A friend of the family, who is an RN by trade, is spending the nighttime hours with Mark so the family can sleep. Hospice is active during the daytime hours by not only supplying nursing care to Mark, but also presenting bereavement resources to Kristin and the boys. On behalf of the family – thank you so much for your understanding and support. As Mark might say if he were conscious, “you all will be called to duty to serve as soldiers to stand beside the family after the funeral”.
