Mr Rauf Aregbesola, to account for the over N100 billion that had accrued to it in the last 11 months. The party specifically challenged Aregbesola to explain why he had not paid the September salary of all workers at October 31. A statement issued by the state chairman of the party, Chief Sunday Ojo Williams, said the call became necessary, following the classification of the state as distressed in a motion before the House of Representatives, on Thursday. The PDP said Osun could not be described as distressed, when it was common knowledge that it had received over N74 billion from the Federation Account allocations this year alone, apart from the N25 billion loan the Aregbesola-led government took from the FirstBank in February. The PDP also noted that the government collected N12.9 billion as special allocation in July and another N8.9 billion in September. The state PDP boss challenged Aregbesola to also disclose what it did with the N8.3 billion it inherited from the Oyinlola-led administration as unspent sum from the N18.3 billion loan it took to finance the 2010 budget. The PDP said it noted a recent admission by the state Commissioner for Finance, Dr Wale Bolorunduro, that the state finances were good since the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) came to power and that it had saved N32 billion. It said the people of the state would not accept that figure of N32 billion or the N29 billion announced by his boss, “because the state knows the Aregbesola-led government has not executed a single project since it took over last year.
