Mr. Wesley Norman “Pete” Vick, 64, of Smithland, KY, passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2013, at his home. Mr. Vick was a huntsman, fisherman, Vietnam Veteran, 33rd Degree Mason, card-carrying Kentucky Colonel, and a heavy crane operator. He retired from the Tennessee Valley Authorities. Mr. Vick was a well traveled individual, visiting both North and South Poles. He had tread on every continent, crossed every international date line, and visited every state in the union, including Puerto Rico. Mr. Vick was born September 6, 1948, to Winifred Turner Vick and Robert Watson Vick, both deceased. He is survived by his longtime companion, Sharon Bement; five sisters, Kathleen Moodie of Smithland, KY, Sally Ann Hathaway of Apache Junction, AZ, Sheila Vick of Westmorland, TN, Nina Lisa Vick of Sebastopol, CA, and Glenn Vick of Las Cruses, NM; three brothers, David Clifford Vick of Paducah, KY, Sherrill Eugene Vick of Campo, CA, and Henry Allen Vick of Lytham, UK. He is also survived by 12 nieces and nephews; 15 great nieces and nephews; and one great grand nephew. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Dewey Vick and Melvin Charles Vick, Masonic funeral rites will be Friday, August 16, 2013, at 2PM, in the chapel of Boyd Funeral Directors in Salem. Burial with military honors will follow in the Vick Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday, August 15, 2013, after 6PM, at Boyd Funeral Directors in Salem.
