Musicians: Happy New Year to you guys and girls. I hope 2015 will bring prosperity and good cheer 2 you all! Lol Now, lets get down 2 business, because I feel like someone has 2 share this with U all. And please Tag someone that needs 2 hear this: The way 2 get an industry gig is NOT calling fellow working musicians and harassing them, message after message, lunch invite after lunch invite... Etc etc. If U have access 2 a Music Director, via FACEBOOK, EMAIL, whatever... the best thing 2 do, is 2 continue 2 send that person footage of your musical GROWTH! Sheds, Recordings, Performances, etc! This is why youre not getting those calls! I can tell you, most of you guys that feel that youre ready, are really NOT! Most guys, are NOT students of the game anymore and feel as though, learning a chop or crazy chord entitles you, Platinum Recording Artist ready??? Not true! Also, playing is about 30% of getting these gigs!!!! Its your attitude and how you run your BUSINESS! Most cats I meet have TERRIBLE attitudes and NO business knowledge, WHAT so ever!!!!!! So, in 2015, less harassing and more studying, more grooming... Dig deep! And trust, when its your appointed time... YOUR GIFT WILL MAKE ROOM FOR YOU!!!!!!! Have a blessed week everyone! ✌️
