Must vent. I blocked Montel Williams on Twitter tonight. Yes, THAT Montel Williams, the Money Mutual guy? Wed been following one another for a few months and have butted heads a few times on social issues and Obamacare. Montel is a supporter of the vets and even now I respect him for that HOWEVER his support of the racial narrative that all cops are racist finally pissed me off. There is a tag, #CrimingWhileWhite, where a bunch of white people are sharing how they got away with murdering puppies and stuff while the cops did nothing feeding this ridiculous narrative that cops dont bust white people. Well, me being me I pointed out that I have been pulled over and received a ticket; other women were saying how theyd gotten away with it for being white. *eyeroll* Well Montel pops on and tells me to leave the tag be, that this conversation needs to happen. I sorta went off. I asked him why another conversation that racially divides us needs to happen? I asked him why perpetuate the us vs them mentality that is tearing this country apart? I told him we needed to just start being people again... He disappeared after that and I went back to my timeline, answering haters, sharing info, laughing at followers... etc. As usual there were a few ppl calling me a racist for refusing to believe race defines us as a person and that its behavior not race that causes issues. Montel popped on my TL again and told ME that I was not helping. Im getting called the racist and yet its ME who is not helping. As you can imagine that went over like a load of bricks with me, so I told him to babysit someone who cares and blocked him. Really?! REALLY?! lol People have lost their damn minds. I wonder if Sylvia Browne foresaw any of this before she died?
