My PKU family today I need to vent. We recently got offered to use Pku coolers instead of just our regular formula. We were excited about this as they will be awesome for school. Our clinic was Friday. We tried them this morning and I sent some with my son to school. He told me he didnt care for the taste so I called shipping and receiving to see if they had any other flavors available as the one we had was orange. The lady at shipping and receiving informs me they do not carry Pku Clinic is at our clinic in orange but only in the strawberry. It was then I realized that they provided us an orange cooler for a different metabolic disorder in which contained not only artificial sweetener but also 15g of protein per package. My son had one with his breakfast and one at snack at school before I had a chance to call the school and tell them not to give him anymore they were calling me telling me Marcus was complaining of a headache and wanted to come home. After all this and calling with the dietitian and figuring everything outno one apologize to me in fact they asked if I would pay the shipping to send the coolers they gave me by mistake back to Winnipeg. I am just so angry and so frustrated I could cry. Vent over :(
