My Running Diary: A Story I met a Girl on the Road Less - TopicsExpress

My Running Diary: A Story I met a Girl on the Road Less Travelled and for just awhile, we enjoyed A view from the Road together, One Mile at a Time. As we moved Down the Road, our pace slowed, for neither one of us were Traveling Light and Comfortable. Both burdened by words unspoken, pains unseen, invisible chains. We were Simply Sole Searching. Despite my own struggle, I hoped to somehow help. Thank you for trying to lift this Weight Off My Shoulders, she softly said. But this is My Challenge, and mine alone to bear. For you may Follow Me To The Finish LINE, but you cannot run this race for me. And although I knew she was right, still I felt helpless. Do not worry, my friend, she reassured me, because you walked with me, I am miles closer, and One Run Stronger. I sensed she would Go The Distance, for although Subject To Fire, she was also Carved From Stone. And thus, I bid her goodbye, for The Finish Line she sought was not my own. Moral of the story: Never doubt that you make a difference, simply by your presence. ~G
