My big accomplishment today with Velma (you knowledgeable mustang trivia folks should know who shes named after) was getting her mane brushed out. We spent the day in her pen building confidence and trust in each other, and working on the basics of leading and giving to halter pressure. Shes unsure about things but not at all defensive, and she really wants to figure things out. Shes not the saddle on the first day type, but well be there soon enough!
