My exclusive list of #youknowyouareIndian (revised since I have moved to UK): •When you can walk miles hunting for a restaurant that serves Dosa and Dum Biryani in Britain. •When you stand in front of the Tower bridge in London and still miss #TajMahal. •When your turn back three times (Bollywood style) upon hearing someone speak Kannada or Hindi. •When you don’t miss a single chance to compare India with UK and say if only our population was so less. •When you are ready to kill for Pani poori and get excited by the very smell of frying samosas in a foreign country. •When you care less about highly debated topics and choose to dance on the bhangra hits played on BBC Asian network. •Lastly when you realize the true meaning of this wonderful quotation by #RuskinBond: “For India is more than a land. India is an atmosphere. Over thousands of years, the races and religions of the world have mingled here and produced that unique, indefinable phenomenon, the Indian; so terrifying in a crowd, so beautiful in himself…” Happy 66th Independence day folks!!!
