My first awareness that I could feel, see and hear, those who had passed on, was as a child, lying in bed and felt my cat Timmy back where he always slept, reaching out my hand to touch his fur, my fingers found only bedclothes. I sat up, turned the light on and whilst there was the round indentation on the feather eiderdown plain to see, no puss lay sleeping there. I cried because I knew then he wasnt coming back after being missing for 3 weeks. The following morning my Dad asked me if I was going with him to search for Timmy, I said no cause I know hes with Nanny Kate, as he cae to say goodbye last night. The look on the faces of my parents was utter shock, they must have wondered what the hell type of child they had adopted, as from that point, those imaginary friends Id played and talked with though my past 8 years, were no-longer safe and nice in their eyes, but a fearful thought that just maybe their child wasnt normal... And so my life with those animals and people both in spirit and living began.
