My friend David just came by, he was riding his bike a few days ago and was hit from behind...WHILE HE WAS MOVING!!!! The woman who hit him was doing at least 55 in a 40mph zone, she told the cops she turned around to discipline her child!! DISTRACTED DRIVING!!!! (according to the police report) Im willing to bet she was texting and driving!! the bike was dragged over 300feet, he hit the windshield of the car rolled over the roof and off the trunk. He had just left my apt (literally 15 minutes earlier) the evening he was hit. Hes ok although he has two fractures of his right arm a partially amputated right thumb a torn left rotator cuff and road rash. The bike was totaled. The upside is hes ALIVE!!! walking working and talking. Like he said... if he was stopped at the time of the wreck the outcome would have different!!!
