If you have a tech-savvy high school daughter, please consider having her apply for this award by 10/31 The NCWIT Award for Aspirations in Computing honors young women at the high-school level for their computing-related achievements and interests. Awardees are selected for their computing and IT aptitude, leadership ability, academic history, and plans for post-secondary education. We offer both a national and local award competition to generate support and visibility for young womens participation in computing around the country. Each national winner will receive: $500 cash award A laptop computer Trip for two to the National award ceremony in Charlotte, NC March 15, 2014 Open to all US high school level girls. Apply online at aspirations.org by 10/31/13 - We hope to recognize as many as 1200 girls this year. We also plan to recognize as many as 60 educators this year with the NCWIT Educator Award which comes with $1000 for professional development and a Dell laptop from sponsor AT&T.
