..My hiphop/rap group (Artifacts) are embarking on a long overdue 3rd album. Our last album together dropped in 1997. -Individually,we(as well as our core fanbase)have grown,changed,and evolved since that last release. (Thats Them!) Despite the long since squashed internal conflict that caused the group break-up, its STILL more to delivering a worthy project to the world than just ,pick a beat,turn the mics on, and go. Im actually mad I even have to make that statement, however,it is what it is,..totally speaking for myself of course,Im just sayin..the vibe has to be there,it has to be real,and it has to translate in the ending results,otherwise,whats the point? Sure, we can drop anything over whatever,slap a title on it and hope for the best..but..it aint NEVER been just that simple and I dont think we about to start doin it like now. I wanna create a classic worthy of whatever anticipation exists, to entertain our loyal following and perhaps grab some new ears along the way. NO, Im not trying to pick up where we left off from,because THAT would be technically impossible AND dated from a style standpoint..think about it.(Because I damn sure am).
