My hope is that the following will not be taken offensively, but yes, seen objectively and analyzed logically: Anyone who is trying to change Mormon doctrine doesnt really understand Mormonism. It is not a democratic institution, but rather a theological one. In lay mans terms, it is not a group of people coming together with the purpose of achieving an elevated moral code or spiritual system. It IS (according to its core beliefs and doctrines) a Divine system set forth by an all-knowledgeable and all-loving being. If change will occur, it will be divinely sanctioned, not politically. It is true that changes in practice are often the result of questions and the seeking of corresponding answers, but when the subject of complaint undermines core doctrines, what is being implied about the source of these doctrines?
