My tolerance for diversity is wearing pretty thin. I dont give a rats butt where Im standing but there is this undefined space around me that is mine. Sure, that space gets invaded when getting out of a baseball or football stadium after a game.. I understand that and it doesnt bother me because everyone is moving together.. However, and this is where I draw the line.. Im standing at the Subway like everyone else while shepherding my sandwich through the process: It PISSES me off to have some asshole who doesnt understand American Culture pushing me from behind.. I just stepped back from the counter and this little shit moves into the space I vacated and starting to invade the next guys space who was in front of me. It happens all the time here in the rich diversity of Silicon Valley. Whether it be the grocery store, the checkout line at Target or the movie ticket line, stay the hell out of my space.. Happened to my Dad a few years back.. He had to step back a bit for some reason while he was at Home Depot.. Stepped on this ladys foot.. She howled and he told her to stand back a bit.. America is a big country and we have lots of room.. So, how about showing a little tolerance for American Culture.. Its my space, stay the hell out of it..
