My trip to Vegas last weekend, ended up like this: Dear Allegiant: I entered into a contract with your company to be flown back to Fresno from Las Vegas. You didn’t comply with the contract. The fact it may have been an Act of God does not eliminate your obligation to refund me the amount I paid to be flown back. Moreover, an employee said there was a mechanical problem, not an Act of God. On top of all that, your company did nothing to make sure that another airline could get me back to Fresno. I had to go to the extreme of renting a car to go to the Fresno airport to pick up my car and to meet my next day business commitment. The time and aggravation incurred by having to arrive home at 1:45 a.m. early Monday morning instead of early evening on Sunday is more than negligible. With that in mind, I should expect that your airline will compensate me for the canceled flight, the rental car (and gas), and the aggravation. I am asking that you settle this for $xxxx. Let me know if this settlement is acceptable. If not, you can plan on being in court in Clark County, Nevada. Froilan Sarmiento
