My village home n vast paddy field goes under water.This is 8th time my family lost village home n paddy land by devastating river erosion.River erosion is very common in Bangladesh.This is an ongoing disaster of Bangladesh River erosion causes huge loss of property throughout the year. According to “World Disaster Report 2001” about 10,00,000 people are affected by river erosion and 9,000 hectare cultivable lands are banished in river. Among these only a few affected people are able to find new shelters while others become homeless for uncertain period.
