NIGERIANS, OUR SUPPLICATIONS HAVE BEEN ACCEPTED...... Many, if not all Muslim faithful all over the world celebrated Eid Kabir yesterday and in line with the norm, ram was slaughtered in Muslims home, and Nigeria was no exception. One good thing about this celebration is as it is seen as an Islamic injunction, and celebration, it is widely acknowledged by both religion and the Holy Bible have an account of it was the story of the true test of Abrahams faith in God... In his God. He was about to sacrifice his only son to God, when God was so proud of him and satisfied with Abrahams actions that he provided him a ram. At the altar he made to kill his son and offer him as an offering to God, Isaac asked him where is the item to be sacrificed to God and Abraham answered, God will provide it, and He surely did provide it. Please do not see this, or give it a literary interpretation that yesterday was a day Nigeria as a nation offered sacrifice to almighty Allah/God....or that Im accusing muslims of involvement in paganism, Im drawing an inspiration from it. I want Nigerians to see the essence of that day in our life as a nation, and see the HOPE in it. It the last two(2) years, it cant get any worse than this. Weve lost trust in each other.... Weve love the respect for the diversity of our values and identity.... Weve lost of sense and blanket of security..... Weve lost our oneness..... Weve lost HOPE....... But I want Nigerians.... I want all and every Nigerian to believe that just as God/Allah came to Abraham/Ibraheem at that critical point, and as we observe such day and grace yesterday.... Every sacrifice weve made as a nation...the blood of every innocent Nigerians shed.... every soldier that laid down his life... every police officer that had his life cut short in a bid to guarantee public safety... all those maimed, raped, abducted, or had their Psyche abused.... every Nigerian enduring untold hardship... I can, and want to assure you that you supllications have been accepted.... Our acts of Ibadah have been accepted... In line with the essence of the Eid Kabir... I want to assure you all that every act of selfless sacrifice by Nigerians has been accepted by almighty Allah...and that will cause Allah in his infinite mercy to inspire a true sense of Nationalism.....patriotism...and HOPE..... That all our efforts, sacrifices and supplications towards sustaining a one Nigeria, and a better Nigerians are all accepted.... May the true spirit of Eid Kabir usher in the much craved for Peace, Stability..... Hope and Oneness..... God Bless Nigeria....
