‘NYSC lost four members in Rivers in 2012’ Category: News Published on Friday, 07 June 2013 05:00 Written by Victor Edozie, Port Harcourt Share The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) says it lost four of its members deployed to Rivers State for the 2012 batch B programme. It also said no fewer than 17 corps members were sanctioned for various offenses. Rivers State coordinator of NYSC Mrs Josephine Okwunghae, who disclosed this during the passing out of the 2012 batch B corps members in Port Harcourt, said a total of 3,680 corps members were posted to the state. She said eight corps members absconded from service while nine others will have their service year extended by two weeks or five months in accordance with the subsisting provisions of the bye-law of the NYSC.
