National Endangered Species Day is Friday, May 16. A lecture on the rare, threatened and endangered flora and fauna of TN will be held 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Shelby Bottoms Nature Center in Nashville. Two of the state’s most respected conservation professionals, TWRA’s Chief of Biodiversity Bill Reeves and the TN Director of Natural Areas Roger McCoy, will share some of the imperiled species of TN, the laws which protect and the methodologies used to track these rare, threatened and endangered species in TN. They will also offer insight on how citizens can preserve and protect flora and fauna. Refreshments will be served.
