Need some advice from you guys out there... I have been experiencing serious heel pain for months now, no injury but I have a diagnosis of heel spurs and plantar fasciitis.. I do not think this pain is related to the plantar fasciitis, as Ive experienced the pain associated with that and this is totally different. This is on the bottom of my foot, along the edge and extremely tender and painful. I think this is the heel spurs but my orthopedic doc hasnt really said that the pain is that. He referred me to physical therapy to do topical cortisone with electrode stimulation. Ive had two treatments with zero results.. Im doing stretches numerous times a day, along with massage, also using heat and ice intermittently... Ive even started wearing my boot at night for the plantar fasciitis with zero results. I am having custom orthotics made this week and I was prescribed my second prednisone pack today, which only relieves my pain for about two days. Im wondering if I should seek a second opinion somewhere else other than Fairview and if so, where? Have any of you experienced this and if so, what worked for you? Im taking ibuprofen and aleve all day, every day with no help at all.. Im just at a loss and need some info and suggestions and advice.. Any and all will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
