Neither the officer who gunned down 12-year old Tamir Rice for the crime of holding a BB gun nor his partner bothered to give first aid to Tamir. He was made to lie on the ground in agony for four minutes before the next set of officers to arrive bothered to try any life-saving measures, but by then it was too late. I think its sweet whenever people share stories of police officers acting like human beings, but youre giving them credit for doing what theyre supposed to be doing. Its stories like this that should be getting your attention, rather than getting swept away so easily because you can find a story of a police officer giving shoes to a homeless person or helping an old lady cross the street or any of those other things any decent human being would do.
