New Years Eve Dinner Review Ive been to Ryan Duffys three times in my life. Once with work...it was wonderful. The second, for mine and Tonys 3rd anniversary...it too was great. New Years Eve was the third...not such a great experience. Starting from the moment we walked in. The noise was so loud the hostess could not hear me say my name. I repeated myself four times and after the fourth she smiled and informed me I was 30 minutes early and our table was not ready. Confused, knowing I was right on time I agreed to wait for the table. She then called me by my incorrect name, which made me realize why she believed I was early. I corrected her and she informed that our table was in fact ready. So it took five times for her to get my name correct. She walked us to this very small, quaint table close to the fireplace. The table was extremely shaky. The server, although very nice, seemed stuffy and as though he was being forced to be there. He took our drink orders and promptly returned with them. After several minutes he returned and took our food other. He noticed the table was shaky and stated he would fix it for us. This never happened the entire evening. I used my foot to stable the table. After 10 minutes he returned with our bread and informed us someone would be by to make our Caesar salads. The basket for the bread was quit large and there was enough butter set on the table for an entire loaf of bread, very deceiving, inside the basket there were two tiny pieces of stale bread. Disappointing to say the least. Another server came by to prepare the salads for us. He was very nice and preformed his job with grace. However, enjoying their salads in the past, this one was bland, not enjoyable at all. Our steaks took over an hour to arrive and although done to perfection they too were very bland and unimpressive. There was very little potato on the plate and a small tomato garnish. Our deserts were amazing. So, after spending $170.00 we left extremely unsatisfied and hungry. I would give our experience 1 out of 5 stars. Ive always had great things to say about this restaurant but after last night, I will not return.
