Newcastle Knights winger Josh Mantellato has re-signed with the Club for season 2014. The 26-year-old Wyong junior, who joined the Knights in 2012, made his NRL debut against the South Sydney Rabbitohs in Round 12 this season. “It was my first and only intention to stay here, I have had a great year so far and to continue here for another year is very exciting,” Mantellato said. “Last year was a great season for me and I have gone on to bigger and better things this year and hopefully next year I can advance a little further with my first grade career as well. “Being here under the coaching staff that we have and the players I have around me as well, it definitely turns me in to a better player.” The Knights are pleased to re-sign Mantellato, who starred in this year’s NSW Cup Representative’s win over the Queensland Residents at ANZ Stadium. “We are really happy for Josh and it is great he will be with us again in 2014,” CEO Matt Gidley said.
