News Alert on hour of rumour:- Arsenal transfer news: Suarez bid rejected and Wilshere A select round-up of transfer news relating toArsenal, including Luis Suarez, Jack Wilshere and Matthias Ginter. Liverpool have reportedly rejected a £30million bid from Arsenal for Uruguayan striker Luis Suarez. The offer apparently came at the end of last week, after rumours of Arsenal’s interest in the player had surfaced due to bookmakers receiving a flurry of bets on the move. Liverpool were never likely to accept a bid of £30million, and it is also unlikely that Suarez would opt to remain in the Premier League should he leave Anfield, having lambasted the British press for targeting him during his spellin the country. Real Madrid are supposedly his preferred option, and Arsenal’s first priority is still completing the move for Gonzalo Higuain, which could see some suggestions that the Gunners’ bid for Suarez was an attempt to push through the move for the Argentine striker. Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo have listed Jack Wilshere as a possible replacement for Thiago Alcantara should the midfielder move to Manchester United this summer. The Barcelona midfielder could leave Spain this summer in an attempt to secure regular first team football ahead of next summer’s World Cup. Barcelona were expected to promote academy product Sergi Roberto to take Thiago’s place in the squad, but there have also been links with Borussia Dortmund’s Ilkay Gundogan and Wilshere. However both of those players are unlikely to be willing to sit on Barcelona’s bench themselves next season, and Wilshere would surely be too expensive just to buy as a squad player. Arsenal’s decision to send Francis Coquelin onloan to Freiburg next season might have given them the edge in the race for the German club’s defender Matthias Ginter. The 19-year-old, who can also play in midfield, is atarget for Borussia Dortmund as well as the Gunners, and has previously been valued at around £5million. Arsene Wenger is keen to bolster his resources in defence and also in the middle ofthe park, and Ginter would be a fine addition to the squad this summer.......#donbobbytee#
