Not entirely related to this but this morning on Holden between Rio & OBT, I almost hit a turtle crossing the street because the man in front of me doesnt know how to drive & swerve without creating panic. I pulled into the gas station there & got out of my car to find the man behind me had already stopped his car & was walking towards the turtle. I took a step into the road to stop the 2 cars heading toward him until he helped the turtle & got back to his car safely. Animals dont understand traffic, sewers/manhole covers or anything like that. They understand needing to get where theyre going & trying to do it (sometimes with their families) safely. We can help & we should.
