Not long now until one of the biggest nights of the year, the PE Pubcrawl. Its fitting that we continue on the tradition of putting up some odds for the greatest individual honour: The Best on Ground Award. Here’s how some of the big names are shaping up: $1.04- Boyd West: Almost the unbackable favourite. Has put in some big performances in his time and goes by the self-proclaimed nickname; ‘THE BIG DAWG’. Did not attend the previous crawl last year (semester 2); rumour has it he and a search party were out looking for his dignity lost on the crawl before where he was crowned BOG. A picture paints a 1000 words and urinating in public with 3/8ths of a pub-crawl shirt remaining at 3am outside the London certainly justifies his placing at the top of the pecking order. Every superman has his kryptonite: West is no exception. The young man is rumoured to be in a ‘relo’ and this is the only downfall that may hinder his performance on the night. $2.00- Mitchell Vanson: : Always lifts for the big occasions and pubcrawl has been no exception. Has been out of control the last few weeks on Hindley and was lucky to avoid a confrontation with police after urinating in the Little Pub line two weeks back. Has great lead in form with a large Alma/Zhivagos sesh last Sunday! $2.70- Chris Broadbent: A veteran of the crawl who is a big game player....just ask the great man! Known by many for his signature catch phrase ‘getting on the pony’ and will be looking carry on previous form from past crawls. $3- Brad Kirk: the first and original owner of the bog trophy, this guy will not miss the pub crawl, a good lead in with a solid performance at sea and vines and will give us a lot on the night. $5.50- Todd Kitto: Has flown into contention after recently becoming single. If you havnt seen his bachelor profile below be sure to check out his ‘Baywatch’ photo. Has been known to mirror performances of the great Ben Cousins in his prime, the only chance of curbing this mans bender on the weekend is having prac start on monday. A genuine darkhorse in the field, ladies get around him! $5.50- Dylan Carter: The boy from Mallala, a proven contender and a veteran on the pub crawl scene, has been known to sink pints from his shoes and sink numerous shots in a row look out for him, worth a cheeky few bucks. $10- Tommy Scott: Only fitting that this guy is in the odds after that horrendous stitch up of a bachelor post. Lives for the crawl and wont be leaving the Shed until kicked out and/or found love. $12.50- Nick Coulter: the great nickos will be lurking, flys under the radar and is a genuine menace on the dance floor, is blessed with height where he spots the birds on the floor, regularly on the party scene and will give plenty. $14- Josh Noye: Not known for being an animal on the party scene with stats showing he makes it to town 2-3 times per annum due to loving a glass of red on a Sunday arvo. However lives for crawl and is well known for shitting himself after having a 40 year crackwhore come after him at 530am on South Rd last crawl. $15- Brett Ellis: Heard he killed it on the last crawl in the Shed til the early hours. Good money also coming for him to throw up on his beard. Value bet. $17- People not quoted $20- Charlie Jarman: Ive been given the hot tip from an unknown source (Todd Kitto) that her old man will down more drinks than her for the night. Don’t throw your money away folks. $51- Andrew Wright: This under-developed pissant has attended all pub-crawls in his 3 year tenure at Flinders University; however, is still yet to be sighted past 11.30pm. Goes by the nickname Hairspray and has recently been taken off the market by and we quote ‘The One.’ Interesting to see if the ball and chain is on speed dial to get him home and tucked into bed. Having said all this, the man rates himself as a big time performer and has been talking big things all semester. Could be a dark horse but don’t hold your breathe. Bring on Saturday Night!
