Not that this is a classic by any means, but today as we headed to Graysons Birthday party we passed the gym... the gym Ive belonged to on and off for at least a decade... the gym that helped me through my maternity leave with Michael, the gym that brought this song and all its memories flooding back to me like a dam that had just broke. Thing is, there was a special man at the gym... a long time football Coach of Cams - a huge Friend of mine... a rough and tumble man/boy with an ever so gentle soul (hits home for me - with two of these types of boys - actually three - including Cam, myself), with such a tough exterior shell but nothing but kindness on the inside. This song was always played in our circuit training class... and right away I had happy memories when I heard it, then it hit me like a rock. Our good friend passed away this fall. How does life happen like that? Such good, amazing and wonderful people are here one day and gone the next... It hurts. Loss and grief stinks and unfortunately there is no other articulate way to put it. I am remembering a good friend tonight, who was associated with a certain time in my life, a special place will always remain for him in my heart. Rest In Peace Beaus... know that you are thought of and loved by so many people.
