Number of annual trials up by seven for district court By Kelsey Bray kbray@wyomingnews CHEYENNE -- Last year was a busy one for court officials working at the Laramie County Governmental Complex. In 2012, the Laramie County District Court had 12 jury trials. In 2013, there were 19. “I took office in 2011 and we used to never have more than one judge have a trial at a time,” Clerk of District Court Sandy Landers said. “But we’ve had three or four different times where we had two judges having a trial in the same week.” The trials were mostly felony criminal cases, with a few civil as well.
