#OCGATReflection SERVING GAT. SERVING GOD! (Love Unparalleled) And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. Colossians 3:14 We all started as strangers! I have no idea whom I will be leading. I also believe that they have no idea who’s going to lead them. I remember so well the very first time I meet them. Awkwardness shows. They just gave me a blank stare as I had my orientation at the fourth floor of the CFC Global Mission center. Days passed, activities continue, and things changes day by day. Those moments when I felt awkward no longer exist. Those moments when I am unable to figure out what to say or do no longer exist too. They’re no strangers to me anymore. They are but bunch of little brothers and sisters God has placed under my watch and care. There are moments in GAT when I got tired, sleepless, and even sick as well. But those are nothing compared to me being blessed, being favored and a lot more privilege because God has given me the opportunity to lead GAT. Seeing them in there smiles, hearing them laugh out loud and showing a lot of care to each other are some of the most incomparable and priceless moments I got to witness! Indeed, the Lord has started something priceless in each and every one of them – love and concern for each other! Ask for the most unforgettable moment I’ve had in this GAT? It was when I was able to nurse sick people. I’m a political science major. I didn’t see it coming, nevertheless, it was one of the most heartwarming experiences I’ve had! It was all about love. At the same time, it was all about faith and hope that I was able to give them the right medicines that they need! (Special thanks to our nurse on call – Minelsa)(haha). I have a heavy heart that GAT ends. I wish it could have been longer. Hence, I believe that’s how the Lord designed it to be – a little time to experience perfect unity and love but a lifetime savoring of that inspiration and love from one another and hopefully being able to share it to others as well. I hope and pray that the same inspiration and love will allow each and every one to continue their service to the Lord. I have high hopes that when GAT ends, inspiration for the mission and work of God grows and continues. In my almost eight years as a missionary, the Lord never fails to surprise me. Eight years being a fulltime worker is incomparable. I have a lot of struggles, I got tired, and I almost give up but the Lord never gives up on me. This GAT once again allowed me to ponder on how great his plans for me and all the people that I love. This experience will forever be an inspiration to me. I honor, praise and thank the Lord for giving me the best team in the persons of Waki, Franz, Maan and Dudz. For without them this GAT would not be as exciting, inspiring and fulfilling as ever! I thank the Lord also for the new brothers and sisters he has given me. I may not be able to know each and every one of you but I believe this is not the last time. You are all an inspiration and a blessing to me. I will forever be grateful! To god be the glory!
