OK beauty queens. I have to get on my soap box about all these selfie pics for pics that make me feel beautiful ... No, Im not picking on anyone, but I want to remind you that beauty comes from within. True beauty is not found in make up, cropped and posed pictures that are taken in a mirror or from reversed photo action on your phone while you work hard to get the right angle and lighting to glorify your best and not so best features. It is not in makeup, eyelashes, and duck faces. Beauty is from the heart. It is found in compassion, empathy, right motives, and love for people. I know some beautiful women whose hearts are rusty and wrinkled who I would not see as beautiful. I also know some women who are wrinkled and blemished who I believe should win the beauty pageant. So just a reminder to reflect a moment on the message you send, before posting, to maybe your not so pretty, although very beautiful, friends when you post those amazing photos that could be posted in the Avon and Aussie promotion ads. Girls, you are beautiful, not because your pictures say so. I know so because your eyes are the window to your soul and when I look at you I see the light of Jesus and you make me feel loved and important to you. And for that I want to say thank you for sharing your beauty with this world. Please tag someone in this post who you feel are beautiful, not because of their nicely done make up and facial features, but because of their heart and in who God designed them to be.
