Obama, The Liar In Chief, Has Been Lying To America Since 2008 Recently I was thinking about how it was possible that America could have elected someone like Obama twice. I suppose its possible to admit that he was able to fool or convince the majority of people once that he was something different. But to be able to do so twice? This led me to thinking that it might be interesting, fun, and sad all at the same time to take a look back at a few of the bigger lies Obama has told us. These are in no particular order and they come from all different times, but primarily are focused from the earlier years, when he was a candidate back in 2008 up to today. There are plenty that were left out simply due to space considerations…perhaps there will be a follow-up to this article at a later date. Here we go… Lie #1: Bringing our troops home: Listen to this, “If we have not gotten our troops out by the time I am president, it is the first thing I will do. I will get our troops home, we will end this war. You can take that to the bank.” Well, not quite. Or troops are still over there. Big lie from our liar in chief. Lie #2: Eliminate income tax for seniors: Yep, during the first presidential election, candidate Obama promised to “eliminate entirely” income tax for seniors who make less than $50,000 per year. I know several seniors who fall into this category…and they are still paying taxes. Another blatant lie our community organizer in chief. Lie #3: Claimed to have won the Michigan and Illinois primaries: This was stated on the Today Show during the Democratic primaries. Perhaps this one was simple a case of mis-speaking, but given his history, I am still putting it down as another blatant lie. Lie #4: Obama lied about his involvement with Acorn: Once again, you might remember Obama actually telling us that the only thing he did with Acorn was “some stuff” with the justice department. This has, of course, been very much disproven…after he won the election, we might add. Lie #5: Obama claimed his father served in World War II: Nope, incorrect again, Comrade Obama. His Kenyan father was actually only 9 years old when the war ended. Possibly, he might have been thinking about his grandfather…or maybe he was trying to bolster the public image of his communist father? Lie #6: Public will have 5 days to look at every bill that lands on my desk: Yes, this was an actual quote from Obama. Another whopper of a lie considering this promise was broken on the healthcare law, and many others. He also promised to make government open and transparent, no more secrecy, and also said that we would know what was in every bill (yeah, right…I remember Pelosi saying we needed to pass the bill and then we would find out what was in it!). Lie #7: Obama said he would close Guantanamo Bay: Along with ending the ‘Bush-era’ torture. Not so, since the base is still very much alive and in use today. Lie #8: Promised to cut the deficit in half: This one is so funny I had to check my facts on it twice…but he actually made this pledge back in 2009. Anyone think he ever intended to do anything about this one? Lie #9: If you like your healthcare plan, you can keep your healthcare plan: This one has to go down as possibly the biggest lie ever uttered by any American president. We all know how much of a lie this really was now. This was done only for the purpose of holding back public objections to allow the Democrats to push ObamaCare down our throats. Lie #10: Claims border fence is ‘basically complete:’ Nope, Comrade Obama, wrong again. This was a lie considering the fence is only about 5 percent completed. Only 32 miles of fence have actually been built back in early 2009 when Obama made this claim. Even worse most of the was done under Bush; Obama is only responsible for 4.3 miles of that total! Lie #11: The actual oath of office Obama took: The words of the oath of office state that the new president swears he will execute the office ‘faithfully’ and also will preserve, protect, and defend the US Constitution. Does anyone even think that he has come close to doing any of this? Plus, many of Obama’s actions and policies have been decidedly against defending and protecting the Constitution. In fact, it can honestly be argued that he has been seeking the actual destruction of the Constitution.
