October 17, 2014 - Word for Today Genesis 1:27 (KJV) - So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. Point to Remember: So often in our lives we find ourselves trying very hard to make everyone accept us. We change our appearances to feel accepted. We alter the way we dress to be accepted. We hang with certain people to be accepted. We do this forgetting that God never intended for you to be exactly like the person next to you. Beloved, stop trying to be someone God said you are not; because who you are is a blessing to the people God placed around you. Each and every day God sends people into your life so that you may be a blessing to them. Stop letting people’s comments make you want to be someone you are not, unless it leads you to be more like Jesus. (SN: The Lord does not want you to be a cheap copy of another when He created you in the image of Himself).
