Oh boy. Jesus said, Let the little children come; He didnt say, Let only the little male children come. When the Woman with the Alabaster Box went to visit Jesus, the Disciples asked why He was wasting his time with her. Jesus answered, Why are you bothering this woman? She has done a beautiful thing to me. Truly I tell you, wherever this gospel is preached throughout the world, what she has done will also be told, in memory of her. When the Samaritan Woman at the Well wondered why Jesus would spend the time of day with her, Jesus answered, “It’s who you are and the way you live that count before God. Your worship must engage your spirit in the pursuit of truth. That’s the kind of people the Father is out looking for: those who are simply and honestly themselves before him in their worship. God is sheer being itself—Spirit. Those who worship him must do it out of their very being, their spirits, their true selves, in adoration.” I am going to pray for this preacher. Maybe he only preaches what he has been taught--perhaps by a generation of preachers before him. Jesus taught love. I will follow Jesus.
