Okay, heres how Facebook sharing works. This is for people who like to share things. So... notice up by the time stamp where this is posted. Do you see a globe? Of course you do. Thats because I made this post PUBLIC. Now, next time you post something, you can choose the audience who sees it by selecting the drop down menu next to the Post button. There you can select a myriad of options from Public (which means to the world), Friends (to only your friends list) to Only Me (only your eyes), etc. You can even customize this by selecting Custom, and then filling in a designated audience, either by person or a group you created. I have several groups, because I dont want to offend certain people with my words, as we live in a very sensitive world, I have a job in the public eye, and I dont want Facebook to be my unemployment catalyst. Now THAT said, when you see a post on your News Feed (probably where youre reading this one, even), look right below the posters name. You can see a small globe on this post, because its Public. Now, if you SHARE this post, it WILL be seen by YOUR friends in THEIR News Feed. Isnt THAT neat? Now, if you see anything else, say a couple of head/upper torso-like figures which would designate Friends, or a gear which would designate a Custom audience, then if you SHARE that post, it can only be seen by either mutual friends you share, or other people in that designated audience that you also share, but those people have already seen that post by the postee, so they dont see it again because Facebooks algorithms eliminate the duplication in your news feed. 99.9% of everything I post is either filtered for select friends, and NOT Public, so you cant share it. Its a waste of time to even CLICK the word share on ANY post of mine. And one more thing... you cant SHARE your own post. Once you post it, its shared. I hope this clears up any confusion. Thank you, drive through.
