But, of course, Snoopys imagination has been known to make him think all sorts of things, hasnt it? LUCY GOT POSSESSED BY THE GREAT PUMPKIN You-Know-Who Strikes Back (C) Copyright 2001 by James W. King (jameswk...@aol); All Rights Reserved. (Sung to the tune of the Christmas novelty song Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer by Patsy & Elmo) Lucy got possessed by the Great Pumpkin barfing on a pumpkin Halloween; Though shed never put much stock in the Great One; Lucy always gave Linus lots of grief. Shed eaten way too much candy much too late and much too rich; So when her belly got to achin, she became like her costume -- a crabby witch! When we found her the next morning out in Linus pumpkin patch, her eyes shone like a Jack OLanterns with an eerie, leering Joker smile to match. Now were all proud of Linus; Hes been taking this so well; See him there in his garden with that scarecrow of a harlequin from Hell? Its like Halloween without Lucy; The goodies left in her sack from Trick-or-Treats are such plunder: Let us gobble up the rest and not look back! Now that scarecrow guards the pumpkins grinning like a crocodile; How strange its snaggletooth visage almost seems to match the teeth in Lucys smile! I warned all my friends and neighbors, Better boost your sincerity! Best to accept Linus notions, lest the Great Pumpkin detect your hypocrisy! Lucy got possessed by the Great Pumpkin barfing on a pumpkin Halloween; Though she had eaten way too much candy, Lucy got squashed for her lack of belief. Lucy got possessed by the Great Pumpkin barfing on a pumpkin Halloween; You can say theres no such thing as the Great One; But as for me and Linus, we believe. ________________________________________ -- Lucy got squashed for her lack of belief = Lucy got possessed by that Sainted Gourd because she had most of the time dissed Linus beliefs in the Great Pumpkin. In a snide remark to Linus, Lucy had once referred to the Great One as the Great Squash.
