On Saturday April 5th, my father and I were joined by Linda Prefontaine on a very special episode of the podcast. Linda is the sister of the late running legend, Steve Prefontaine. Generations of running enthusiasts, and even casual sports fans admire Steve’s athleticism and legacy of standing up for what he believed in. My father is one of those admirers, who cites Prefontaine as an inspiration to his own running career, which now includes 30 marathons and many other races. We talked at length about Steve’s life and career, as well as the impact he had both on and off the track. We discussed the sport of running and its positive effects that span farther than just physical fitness. Linda is the founder of Prefontaine Productions, LLC. The items that Linda sells help to continue promoting Steve’s legacy to the world, most especially through the Pre Log, a running log that includes a lot of unique features, including some of Steve’s personal workouts.
