On Thursday, September 2, 1965, Jim Morrison, Ray Manzarek, and John Densmore join Rays brothers Rick and Jim and a female bassist believed to be Patty Sullivan at World-Pacific Studios in Los Angeles, CA to record a six song demo for The Doors. Guitarist Robby Krieger had not yet joined the band. The surviving acetate includes the first songs Jim ever sang for Ray on Venice Beach in July 1965 — Moonlight Drive, Summers Almost Gone, and My Eyes Have Seen You” — along with End Of The Night, Hello, I Love You, and a track called Go Insane.” It is this last song (later retitled A Little Game and incorporated into The Celebration Of The Lizard) that gets Ray kicked out of an executives office at Liberty Records for being “Sick!”
