On a hot, clammy, still day on Big Beam, a big well done to Scott Sandford on winning the latest Thursday open match with an impressive 45lb 4oz. Scott landed carp of various sizes up to 4lb using pole fished pellet and paste down the track all day long. In second place was Malc Swindels with 37lb 10oz of carp to 4lb and skimmers. Malc fished expander pellet over hemp and micros down the track coming in to the inside margins for some lumps later on. In third place also catching carp on the paste was Dave Rushton from peg 16. Dave weighed in with 32lb 7oz with fish up to 4lb and caught most of his fish close in. In forth place was Dabba Booth who weighed in with 31lb 5oz from peg 19. We now have 2 open matches coming up, the first on Saturday and then the second on Bank holiday Monday, Both matches are on Big Beam with the draw at 9.00, cost £12 all in. See you there !!!!
