On behalf of our department and the Citizen Police Academy, I would like to take a moment to say THANK YOU to everyone who worked so hard to make the Citizen Police Academy a success. The following agencies and individuals donated their time, energy, and expertise to make this a realistic, educational and super fun experience: Gano Baptist Church; Georgetown/Scott County 911 Center; Georgetown Scott County Emergency Medical Services; Judge Mary Jane Phelps; Judge Vanessa Dickson; Judge Tamra Gormley; Scott County Attorney Glenn Williams; Attorney John Cornett; Kathy Placier; Scott County Detention Center; Scott County Sheriff Tony Hampton; Deputy Murlyn Toombs and Deputy B.J. Hayes; 14th Judicial Drug Court Case Specialist Ken Mattingly; Emergency Management Agency Director Jack Donovan; Major Michael Hennigan and Coroner John Goble. All of these people in addition to our officers did a tremendous job. Thank you again. Now we are ready for CLASS 12. We are accepting applications for the fall Citizen Police Academy. For more information and access to the online application, please visit and follow the Georgetown Citizen Police Academy Alumni website. Classes are free, space is limited, so complete your application today. We would love for you to join us.
