One of our forecasters was out in Norman, OK, last week participating in the Hazardous Weather Testbed. This particular experiment was testing out a new generation of warning software, which will hopefully be coming sometime in the next 5 or so years. This is all part of the FACETs (Forecasting a Continuum of Environmental Threats) project (https://nssl.noaa.gov/projects/facets/) to reinvent the NWS warning program.
