One of the major undoings within leadership levels and corridors, militating against unity for standing up to end the national crisis and working for a better Zimbabwe, is unbridled selfishness. It is shocking and a real shame, how there is this pervasive attitude of pretending to be special and having things to be selfish about, among the leaderships. Yet, in reality, there is nothing going or coming behind the scenes and glitter of positions. Yes, I enjoy being objective. The boasting, selfishness and arrogance is meaningless at this crucial juncture for the nation. There is only one way for real and genuine leadership that can rescue our nation, and that is people humbling themselves, being brought together by the common cause and combining efforts for a better Zimbabwe. That is even possible without necessary merging into one group or even agreeing on the same methodology or means, but by combining efforts towards the goal. That is the challenge of todays leaders, who have a role in stopping the national crisis and charting a new course for a better nation. I have no doubt it is possible, but people must swallow their pride, become real and focus on the goal. Contests for power can always be done afterwards and in the ballot box, but the task at hand calls for unity of purpose. I am relaying this message to all those I am interacting with, to whom the people look up.
