One tactic that the Tories have used quite a few times, is to feign a rebellion, within the party. The Whip tells these so called rebellious MPs what and when to vote, to appear to the public, that they are voting for a popular policy, when its been decided already, that that policy will never see the light of day, like the referendum for instance. All of the Tories that are making EU sceptic stances are singing from the same hymn sheet.. They all say they are Eurosceptic, and it needs reforming, but everyone knows it cant be reformed, but they still want to stay in the EU regardless.
