One year ago, I was planning the recording process for an acoustic album that I thought *like* 20 people would listen to, let alone buy. I had no idea I would receive so much support from both friends and strangers for it, and I definitely had no idea I would be taking it to tour Japan (and sell out!). I also would never have imagined that I would be working with such popular and prolific companies like Strandberg Guitarworks, Dunlop, and EMG. This entire year has been eye-opening, motivating, and certainly galvanizing for my musical goals. Last year, I would have never even dared to envision myself where I currently am because I thought it was so out of reach... Even ludicrous! But I guess never say never, right? I used to write music in my bedroom late at night to purge myself of melancholy...music for medicine , music for the pure joy and love of making music, music to soothe and touch others- That hasnt changed, and I dont foresee it changing anytime soon. I guess the only thing that has changed is my self-confidence and faith in passions. I feel very encouraged, very motivated , very driven, but most importantly, very thankful for all these amazing opportunities that have seemingly just landed in front of me. Some people tell me Im here because of my hard work, but honestly I owe it mostly to circumstance and luck (not to say I dont work hard, I just wonder why me ? Quite often, because I have so many friends who seem to work infinitely harder than me and know how to hustle :p) I owe so many people thank you and I know a lot of you try to talk to me... I apologize for being so slow at getting back to you. I really try, life just gets chaotic and time is so scarce. Just know that I am grateful. If you have read this far then dang. Thanks for your time. I know Im not the best with words, but all Im trying to say at the end of this is: A lot can happen in a year. A lot did for a goof like me, and I hope that this upcoming year will be even more fruitful and fulfilling. Keep your passions close by and stay genuine. Happy New Years, my beloved friends and family. (⌒▽⌒)
