One year ago from today, my biological mother Edith was welcomed into heaven. In the 8 months we had together we shared so much laughter, joy, and even tears. She was a strong woman of faith, funny, joyful, and witty. I cherish those moments I was honored to hold her hand, rub her feet, drank tea and visited our Toledo family and dinners out together. I still miss her but know I will see her again one day. At the age of 6 I was placed in another foster home so having my Mother after the death of my father in 1984, brought about unexpected miracles. One is finding my brilliant sister Juliette M. Rivard Watts thanks to my other sister Lesa OBrien and her Husband Tom OBrien. Something as hard as watching my mother die of cancer brought our entire family together in powerful way. Today I am remembering my beloved mother. I am determined to love deeper. Knowing she is having a blast in heaven. Life is such a gift. LOVE radically, live with no regrets.
