One year ago tomorrow (Oct 20th), my father, Charlie Robbins, passed away, one week short of his 90th birthday. Among his belongings, I found a VHS tape with 2 & 1/2 hours of 8mm home movie footage of the 1978 Post 45 American Legion Baseball State Championship team. To commemorate my dads passing, I edited the footage down to a less than 7 minute homage to that team and season. For me, this short video captures the look and feel of the old McCrary Park teams of that era. It includes classic footage of my dad, Mayor Bob Reese, Add Penfield and many others.
