Our October mini-meditation helps to bring our awareness to the fact that our human mind tends to see only one part of reality while ignoring the other part of it. So when you find yourself experiencing only one side of reality, consciously remind yourself of the other side! When you see night, remember that there is also day. When you see death, remember there is also birth. When you feel anger arise, observe yourself more deeply and recognize the aspect of compassion in you. OCTOBERS MINI-MEDITATION: Let me remember that the way things appear to me is only one of many perceptions, and not the ultimate truth. Let me not identify with my automatic reactions, or get trapped in dogmatic judgments. Instead, let me allow my deeper intelligence and sensibility to shine through.
